The Learning Sandbox is a service provided by Upskill Canada to delivery partners to help them develop capacity to build programs that align with the Palette upskilling model.
In partnership with Deloitte, this event by Palette Skills promises to be a comprehensive exploration of Canada's economic landscape.
Gain insights into the macroeconomy, industry trends, and labor market dynamics. Engage with experts in a Q&A session and network with professionals.
Programs supported through Upskill Canada will need to align with the six principles of Palette’s upskilling model. We know some prospective delivery partners will be more experienced with the different components of our upskilling model than others. For some organizations, a model like this will feel familiar, but for others, thinking like this might be entirely new.
We are committed to working closely with our delivery partners to ensure that all programs supported through Upskill Canada are aligned with our upskilling model and reflect our shared principles for effective, impactful initiatives.
The Learning Sandbox is here to be a hands-on partner, giving practical advice based on real world experiences and supporting partners along the way as they move out of their comfort zones and try new approaches to program design. Some activities will include:
Provide products, programs, services, and tools to enable partners to build employer-led, job-focused upskilling programs
Run workshops and webinars providing practical advice, tactics, and approaches to succeed at each stage of program development and delivery
Capture case studies and success stories from across the ecosystem and highlight them to the partnership network
Analyze and evaluate program outcomes to identify best practices, opportunities for collaboration and areas where additional resource support is needed
Convene peer networking and learning opportunities across delivery partners and other network partners to share insights and best practices
At Palette Skills, we have developed our expertise in upskilling through practice. Designing and delivering upskilling programs has grounded us in understanding what it takes – and how challenging it can be – to succeed. As we grow, we will not lose sight of this work and will continue to have mechanisms internally to test and improve best practices in program delivery.
We have restructured our internal operations so that our programs team is built like a separate delivery unit. By doing this, we’ve created a living lab within our own programs, where new best practices, tools, or platforms could be piloted and validated before they are scaled across the ecosystem through the Learning Sandbox.
By leveraging these resources, delivery partners can gain a deeper understanding of the Palette Skills upskilling framework and develop effective training programs that help individuals develop the skills they need to succeed in today’s rapidly changing job market. Additionally, these resources can provide valuable insights into best practices for program design and delivery, helping delivery partners to create high-quality programs that meet the unique needs of their target audience.
