The Data Analyst and Programmer stream of the Automation & Digital Agriculture Specialist Program focuses on analyzing and utilizing data to drive insights and innovation in the agricultural sector. Professionals entering this stream bring along an aptitude for programming, mathematics and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Professionals in the Industrial, Technical, and Professional stream of the Automation & Digital Agriculture Specialist program will be able to identify and leverage technology by applying it to agricultural processes and systems. They’ll work with advanced machinery, precision agriculture tools, automation technologies, and other cutting-edge solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in farming operations.
Smart farming is not new in Alberta, and it’s growing quickly. Adopting the Internet of things (IoT) will help the province’s farmers leverage sophisticated analytics and manage operations with unprecedented precision.
