Women re-entering the workforce face many challenges. Not everything will go your way, and you have to get used to constantly learning and adapting to the demands of your new career. If you really want something and put in the effort to achieve your goal, you are ahead of the game. Focus on conveying enthusiasm and resolve. If you’re not too far off the mark when it comes to the requirements for a position, showing commitment and enthusiasm for growing into the position can count for a lot.

If you’ve just graduated from high school or university, it’s a good idea to stay in touch with your teachers and people you’ve met on projects or internships for future references. Get comfortable with letting people know you’re looking for work, because all kinds of people may know of open job opportunities.
