Today, Palette Skills, in partnership with the University of Saskatchewan and Enterprise Machine Intelligence & Learning Initiative (EMILI) announced the launch of the Automation and Digital Agriculture Specialist Program. With a co-investment from Protein Industries of Canada, it is a new rapid upskilling program to help employers in the Agri-Food sector find skilled talent to fuel the growth of their businesses.
Today, Palette Skills launched an exciting new pilot project aimed at meeting reskilling 50 workers into growing and high-demand careers in Saskatchewan’s burgeoning AgTech space. Funded by Protein Industries Canada, this pilot will engage high-growth companies in the province’s AgTech space to uncover their most pressing talent challenges, and then develop a reskilling program that retrains workers into high-demand jobs within these companies.
As Canada works to recover from the economic impact of COVID-19, Palette Skills has built a consortium of partners that will collaboratively identify talent gaps as they emerge and develop strategies for bridging Canadians who are best positioned to fill these roles. Palette Skills and its partners will develop demand-driven, industry-led, accelerated training programs that will offer effective skilling that quickly transitions more Canadians into high-demand roles in growing industries.
