The Accelerated Cybersecurity Training Program is designed to help graduates with quantitative degrees and/or professionals with advanced computing work experience quickly transition into high-demand roles in cybersecurity. Our curriculum is evaluated by industry experts and updated every 2-3 months to ensure participants are prepared to deal with today’s biggest cybersecurity challenges.
Palette Skills and The Fields Institute work with an advisory board of top cybersecurity leaders from organizations like KPMG, Scotiabank, WiCys and The University of Toronto to build a training curriculum that prepares participants to fill the most in-demand roles.

With over 60 hiring partners, participants learn from industry leaders, attend guest lectures from people already doing the jobs, and go to networking events with hiring managers from fast-growing companies.

You can expect 15 hours of team or individual homework each week.
Industry mentors support individuals throughout the program to ensure successful completion.
There are no exams in the program, however there are weekly assessments. Certifications are not part of this program.
Throughout the program we incorporate human-skills training that will prepare you for entering the workforce. This training includes 1:1 coaching, résumé and cover letter review, interview practice, LinkedIn coaching, networking support and more. We also provide the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and hiring managers in the field through networking events, panel discussions and guest speaker sessions.
This program provides hands-on learning that covers both theory and the practical application of what would be expected for a role in cybersecurity. Our program is designed to help participants succeed in their careers.
The program has a value that is evaluated at $8,000 CAD. This takes into account the many events, activities, facilitators, and partners who actively take part in building and running the program. The program value is comparable to the price of many other types of accelerated cybersecurity training programs in Ontario. Participants only pay $2,500 CAD + HST.
The program has a job offer rate of 96%. For candidates who have actively pursued a career in cybersecurity the employment rate is 100%! (There are some past participants who are completing doctorate degrees.) Past alumni of our programs have gone to work at companies like KPMG, Daimler AG, Deloitte, CertiK, Arctic Wolf, the Herjavec Group, and eSentire.

Our program is a full-time and intensive 8-week course requiring online synchronous participation Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (EDT), as well as completion of assignment and project work after class hours. There are currently no evening courses available, however we are always looking to reduce barriers for participants. If you have any feedback about how we can make the program accessible to you, please let us know.
This training is designed to support placement of its graduates in cybersecurity industry roles once the program ends. If you still have a few months to a year (or longer!) left of your ongoing studies we recommend you apply to future iterations of the program, we run many each year. If you are interested in working part-time alongside your studies after program completion, let us know and we’ll assess this on a case-by-case basis, also dependent on our employer partners.

Palette Skills’ CEO and the Fields Institute’s Director are both University of Toronto professors, within the Computer Science Department and Mathematics Department, respectively.
